What is Public Power? Every time a City of Perry customer pays their utility bill, flips a switch, or shops locally, they are doing more than just powering their home - they are powering their community. In a public power community like Perry, utility revenue is reinvested back into the community. That means support for services we rely on and enjoy - like our local parks and cemetery, fire and ambulance, police, municipal airport, library, streets, and more. Public power is local people working together to meet local needs. Having crews nearby means faster response times and reliable service. When the power goes out or issues arise, our team is right here and ready to respond. Visit OurLocalPower.org to learn more

The water department is currently working a large water leak in the Highland/Hillcrest area. Unfortunately, some dirt has gotten into the lines as a result. The water department will be flushing the line once the repair is complete. If you notice any dirt in your water, please use cold water to flush your lines to avoid getting excess sediment in washing machines, hot water tanks, or other appliances. Updates to follow.
