Equipment Operator

City of Perry accepting applications for equipment operator in street department. Successful applicant must be capable of safely and efficiently operating or learning to operate multiple hand tools and powered equipment including shovel, rake, broom, tractor, brush hog, dump truck, snow plow, front-end loader, grader, Gradeall, etc. Responsibilities include maintenance of streets and alleys, mowing, hauling various base materials, and daily maintenance of equipment. Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather. Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Ideal candidate will possess computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Cemetery Employee

City of Perry accepting applications for full-time cemetery employee. Requirements include experience with lawn mowers, weed eaters, fertilizers, and herbicides and ability to lift 60-80 pounds.

Water and Sewer Maintenance

City of Perry accepting applications for Water & Sewer Department Maintenance & Operations Personnel. Duties include repair, operation, and maintenance of water plant and distribution system, sewer plant and collection system, and related equipment. Requirements include ability to operate equipment, lift/carry 50 lbs., work from ladders and in confined spaces, perform chemical testing, and to wear a respirator as required. Must have high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license. Ability to obtain Oklahoma State Class D Water and Class D Wastewater licenses required. Successful applicant must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends, and emergencies, and in all weather environments.

Journeyman Lineman

City of Perry is now accepting applications for Journeyman Lineman. Outstanding benefits include insurance; longevity pay; paid vacation, sick and holidays; and generous retirement plan. Duties include install, change, transfer, move and remove poles, pole line hardware, guys, transformers, lightning arresters, streetlight equipment, energized conductors, insulators, conduit, capacitor bank controls and any and all forms of electrical material and accessories utilized in the construction, maintenance, and operation of electric circuits. Requirements include: Journeyman certification, Class B CDL, high school graduate/GED, and ability to work in physically demanding conditions and unfavorable weather conditions while handling dangerous equipment. Successful applicant must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends, and emergencies. Twenty minute emergency response time preferred.

Police Officer (CLEET Certified)

Perry is the County seat for Noble County, population 5400. Must be CLEET certified, 21 years of age, HS/GED graduate, and no felony convictions. Must have good driving history and current Oklahoma Driver License. Position requires passing a physical agility test, medical examination, written tests, oral interview, psychological test, and pre-employment drug screen. Salary starts at $15.50/hour with generous benefit package included.
