Meter Reader

City of Perry accepting applications for Full Time Meter Reader. Duties include walking meter routes and accurately reading water & electric meters and light maintenance. Must have high school diploma or GED and valid driverís license. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Equipment Operator

City of Perry accepting applications for equipment operator in street department. Successful applicant will be capable of safely and efficiently operating multiple hand tools and powered equipment including shovel, rake, broom, tractor, brush hog, dump truck, snow plow, front-end loader, grader, Gradeall, etc. Responsibilities include maintenance of streets and alleys, mowing, hauling various base materials, and daily maintenance of equipment. Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Summer Crew

City of Perry accepting applications for summer crew positions. Requirements include valid driverís license, ability to operate lawnmowers, weedeaters, etc. Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather. Helpful caring attitude appreciated.

Cemetery Employee

City of Perry accepting applications for full-time cemetery employee. Requirements include experience with lawn mowers, weed eaters, fertilizers, and herbicides and ability to lift 60-80 pounds.

Pool Manager

City of Perry is now accepting applications for swimming pool manager. Requires 21 years of age, HS diploma & driverís license. Current Lifeguard Certification is a Bonus.

Police Officer

Perry is the County seat for Noble County, population 5400. Must be 21 years of age, HS/GED graduate, and no felony convictions. Must have good driving history and current Oklahoma Driver License. CLEET certification is preferred but not required. Position requires passing a physical agility test, medical examination, written tests, oral interview, psychological test, and pre-employment drug screen. Salary range is $14.20 to $14.98/hour depending upon qualifications with a comprehensive benefit package included.

Apprentice Electrical Lineman

Apprentice Electrical Lineman opening at City of Perry, Oklahoma. Outstanding benefits include insurance; longevity pay; paid vacation, sick & holidays; and generous retirement plan. Duties include but are not limited to installing, removing and relocating utility poles, lights, electrical cable, conduit and any and all forms of electrical material and accessories utilized in the construction, maintenance and operation of electric circuits. Requirements include: Class B CDL, high school graduate/GED, and ability to work in physically demanding conditions and unfavorable weather conditions while handling dangerous equipment. Successful applicant must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends, and emergencies, and must be able to complete necessary requirements of a 4 year apprenticeship or equivalent program. Twenty minute emergency response time preferred.
